University of Nottingham

Information

The University of Nottingham is a globally recognised public research institution ranked among the top 1% of universities worldwide. Described by the Times as “Britain’s first truly global university”, our inclusive community consists of more than 46,000 students and over 7,000 staff across nine campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia, as well as a diverse global community of 340,000 alumni.

We have a rich history of pioneering research, most notably giving birth to MRI over fifty years ago, revolutionising medical imaging and diagnostics for the benefit of all people. This spirit of innovation continues today, with the university's multidisciplinary programs tackling some of the most complex challenges of our time. Ranging from identifying and ending modern slavery and tackling food poverty to developing technologies to decarbonise heavy transport and improving healthcare for lifelong health, addressing health inequalities.

Through our interdisciplinary research, we actively collaborate with industry, government, and academic institutions, leading to transformative real-world impacts.
