We have a rich history of pioneering research, most notably giving birth to MRI over fifty years ago, revolutionising medical imaging and diagnostics for the benefit of all people. This spirit of innovation continues today, with the university's multidisciplinary programs tackling some of the most complex challenges of our time. Ranging from identifying and ending modern slavery and tackling food poverty to developing technologies to decarbonise heavy transport and improving healthcare for lifelong health, addressing health inequalities.
