The Massive Earth Foundation (MEF) is a non-profit organization with the vision to effect actionable policy, research, and projects for the Pollution Reduction / Climate Change industry. MEF is also working to build a vibrant ecosystem to support innovation and scale through partnerships, investments, and ecosystem building in the areas of Clean Energy, Clean Mobility, Smart and Sustainable Agriculture, Water and Sanitation, and the Sustainable Built Environment.
The core strength of MEF lies in its ability to execute complex projects at scale, conduct path-breaking research, and bring various stakeholders to a single platform. It is backed by India's leading entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors. MEF has also signed an MoU with the United Nations Environment Program. Some of our active projects: Asia Pacific Low Carbon Challenge: Massive Earth Foundation is working with UNEP to organize the Low Carbon Lifestyle Challenge Accelerator. In its 4th year, MEF has been running a 12-week boot camp for selected startups/entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions enabling a circular economy in Asia.
This challenge attracts 500+ startups every year from all over Asia. Air Pollution in India: What are the reasons behind pollution in urban cities in India? Is it crop burning, vehicular, industrial pollution, or fugitive dust? MEF's report explores the intersection of various factors influencing India’s pollution. Supporting Rickshaw Drivers towards EV Transition: According to MEF's deep dive into air pollution, 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler vehicles are a major source of air pollution. Hence, MEF is running projects to support the transition to EVs from lead-acid battery/ICE vehicles by partnering with multiple stakeholders.
