Hanneke Oudkerk is the Regional Director for Asia at ChildFund International, where she leads the organization's work across India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the Philippines. With more than 20 years of experience in international development, she has dedicated her career to advancing child rights, public health, and locally led development across South and Southeast Asia. Before taking on her regional role in 2023, Hanneke served as Country Director for ChildFund Indonesia. She has also lived and worked in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia, giving her a deep understanding of the diverse cultures, opportunities, and challenges that shape the region. Hanneke is passionate about building high performing teams and developing partnerships that create lasting impact for children and young people. Her work focuses on strengthening local leadership, expanding strategic partnerships, mobilizing innovative financing, and helping organizations adapt to a rapidly changing development landscape. She enjoys bringing people together to solve complex challenges and turning ambitious ideas into practical solutions that improve children's lives. At ChildFund International, Hanneke champions locally led development by working alongside governments, civil society, the private sector, communities, and children themselves to create sustainable change. She believes that the best solutions are those designed and led by the people closest to the challenges, with children and young people at the centre of every decision.
