Global Challenges: Asian SolutionsIn 2022 the AVPN community reconnected after a three-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19. During that time much of the progress and momentum that had been made towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) had stalled or, in some cases, been reversed. As a result of the effects of the economic slowdown, caused by the locking down of economies and the diversion of public resources to focus on emergency response, the role of philanthropy and social investment has never been more critical.The three-day Conference will also include a dedicated AVPN Impact Investing Day. This is the first-of-its-kind large-scale impact investment-focused convening in Asia and will feature global and Asian investors, funds as well as Limited Partners (LPs) including asset managers, family offices, and institutional investors.Delivered in partnership with Yayasan Hasanah, the foundation of Khazanah Nasional, the Malaysian government’s sovereign wealth fund, the AVPN Global Conference 2023 will be an opportunity for the social investment community to come together to take urgent, courageous, and bold action to address these critical issues. As we enter the third year of the decade of action, there is no time to waste.
