Strengthening Insight and Strategy: New Initiatives from AVPN Impact Investing & Blended Finance

As Asia’s impact ecosystem evolves, institutional investors, family offices, and blended finance actors are exploring new ways to deploy capital for social and environmental outcomes. Understanding what drives these decisions—and where capital is moving—is essential to shaping meaningful engagement. To be an effective ecosystem builder, data-informed insights and catalytic capital strategies are key. The AVPN Impact Investing and Blended Finance team is doubling down on initiatives that build capacity, promote collaboration, and unlock new pathways for SDG-aligned financing across the region. To support this, the team is setting up a dedicated Knowledge Centre, in collaboration with Scymes. The Knowledge Centre will generate structured intelligence on investor behaviour, capital allocation trends, and the evolving blended finance landscape—helping decode how capital moves, where the gaps are, and which levers can be activated to close them. Designed as a resource for deeper, more targeted engagement, the Centre will equip AVPN and its partners to engage capital providers with greater precision and purpose. In parallel, the team is deepening its engagement with family offices—many of whom are beginning to see catalytic capital as a powerful lever for impact. By supporting risk-tolerant, flexible funding, catalytic capital can help unlock larger flows of private and public capital into areas that remain underserved or high-risk. Through curated dialogues, learning journeys, and peer-to-peer exchanges, AVPN is helping family offices identify where their capital can play a catalytic role in blended structures and SDG financing. Together, these efforts reflect a growing commitment to strengthening the foundations of Asia’s impact investing ecosystem—by aligning insight, intent, and action.
