Voices of Southeast Asia: Driving Regional Transformation and Inclusion
Southeast Asia’s post-pandemic economic growth has been robust. Despite this growth, Southeast Asia faces numerous headwinds and is at the heart of a region which is critical to global ambitions to achieve net zero target.
Despite its growing prominence, Southeast Asian voices are not often heard on the global stage. However recent events, such as the hugely successful Indonesian G20 Presidency in 2022, mark a much-needed shift in the status quo, firmly positioning the region as a source of innovation and entrepreneurship. There is now a growing recognition that the region is integral to addressing global challenges like the battle against climate change, gender equality, healthcare resilience and youth empowerment.
Leveraging Singapore’s position as the gateway to the region, AVPN is excited to bring the Southeast Asia Summit to the nation in 2025. Singapore has in recent years become a powerhouse for the impact sector, with the introduction of a range of initiatives to encourage the flow of impact capital to and from Singapore. These developments have positioned Singapore as a focal point for social investment in Southeast Asia.
